I've been enjoying our little break, even though we've had an acoustic gig in that time, and another one due on Saturday, but it's still been a nice summer all the same. It's re-charging my batteries for the onslaught of dates that will be starting up in a few weeks or so. I am looking forward to the Unplugged show on Saturday. I would like to do more of these as they are so intimate and charming, but I have to accept that they are of an acquired taste, and that's fine by me too.
Some people have actually asked why I am using a picture of Marc on the posters...well, over the years I've used lots of designs, some with Marc, some with me....however, I am just not that ego-oriented (as some may think) to want my face on all of the posters all of the time, and after all, it is Marc Bolan that I am promoting, so that is fine. Everyone and anyone who is interested in what we do knows what I look like now anyway! The photo of Marc that we currently use on the Electric Boogie II Tour posters was actually taken by Marc's original photographer from Japan, who gave us copyright to use the image, which was really kind of him.
It seems that the Japanese have already been advertising the forthcoming Tarazara CD album that's due out in September! I couldn't believe it when I was shown an advert from Japan with the cover already emblazoned on their website. I have therefore placed a photo of the sleeve on the Tarazara Facebook Page for all to see. I have now approved the sleeve design and I'm now really happy with the fact that the company (Angel Air) are including a 16 page full colour booklet to accompany the disc. Sadly, because of costings, the two video tracks will only be included as bonus audio.
I am so glad to see that the T.Rextasy Facebook Page is going down a storm. New fans add to it nearly everyday, and the hits are getting quite outstanding. I must thank Jorg in Germany for helping out so much. He has put on a few really good and entertaining video clips that haven't been seen either ever, or for many years. Caron, in turn has been placing a few interesting audio things on there too amongst some different photographic things. I sometimes even go on there to see what's new!
I have been disgusted to have been reading one of the latest animal care magazines recently whereby the Chinese people are skinning rabbits and racoons while still alive just to get a few pieces of fur for coat linings and for use on soft toys and the like. They can't even be bothered to kill them first. Can you imagine the agony that these poor harmless creatures must be going through! It's a *^*%ing disgrace. I know that lots more goes on with different animals, but it'll take 1000's of words to even scrape the surface. This is just one of the horrific and barbaric things that go on. It's bloody horrible and if anyone is seen wearing real fur coats at my gigs, then don't even bother trying to speak to me - infact even better, go and see someone else!
